OUR HISTORY

Built on 5 fundamental metrology solutions.

Founder Marvin Nicholson first developed a unique digital readout that was web-based, followed by a double flank and DOB gauge that required no physical movement to engage the probe into parts. With five original products that, in Nicholson’s mind, made up the sides of a pentagon, the name Penta Gear was born. Penta Gear Metrology was founded in 2005 as a source for rebuilding functional gauges, double flanks, and DOBs.
